A big thank you to Gordon Burret who once again provided refreshments at the May meeKng. Coming events were the Britsh Army v Royal Navy rugby match at Twickenham on Saturday 13th May (see report on pages 3 and 4), followed on the 14th May by the Annual Graspan Parade where there was a good turnout of branch members.
A week later on Sunday 21st May Branch Standard Bearer Chas Timms MBE and I attended the RMA Portsmouth, Falklands service.
The Armed Forces Day Flag Raising Ceremony will take place at Guildhall Yard on Thursday 22nd June and will, this year, be led by the Royal Navy. We have been asked for a strong representation - names to me please ASAP - to-date we have over 18 members signed up - as we always provide the largest veterans association within London, let’s try to make it 25. With a free buffet afterwards, what;’s not to like? Other forthcoming events are the Governor’s Review of the Chelsea Pensioners on Thursday 6th June; the Not Forgotten Association’s Funfest at Hurstpierpoint, West Sussex on the 19th June to which we have kindly been offered places - names to me please should you wish to attend?
