Normandy Landings and the annual Belgian Parade Remembered.

As expected, the number of branch members attending June’s monthly branch meeting at RMR, London was lower than usual. This was in part due to logistical challenges for those travelling via Waterloo station together with the high temperatures that made travelling on public transport uncomfortable, especially for many of our older members who have to travel long distances to attend branch meetings.

Notwithstanding reduced numbers, the evening went well with lively and varied topics of conversation and discussion. As a measure of the warm and convivial surroundings, many of the x15 or so members who made it to the unit stayed until the late hours supporting the SNCO's bar takings......
