FORTHCOMING EVENTS.

Monday, 8th December - December Branch Meeting & Carol Service

It was confirmed that this year’s UJC Christmas Carol Service will take place on Monday 8th December at 1800 at St John’s Church. In agreement with your branch committee, it has been decided that our December branch meeting will be moved to this date, so that we can naturally take advantage of the UJC festivities. After the service, mince pies and mulled wine will be served in the reception area for ticket holders, whilst those without carol service tickets will be able to make full use of the main bar. This will be followed by our annual Christmas raffle extravaganza, which we are very much looking forward to.

24th-26th, April 2026 - Annual Zeebrugge Remembrance Trip

Preparations are underway for what is always a poignant and significant occasion. Further details will be shared as they become available. I am proposing to put a sub committee together to help with fundraising and the programme of events. If you would be interested in helping with this please let the Chairman know.

Saturday, 2nd May 2026 - Army v Navy Rugby

We have a group going to this event in RMA CoL t-shirts. Please reach out to me if you'd like to join and/or be kept in on comms for the event.

WELFARE.

There are no updates on welfare this month. Our thoughts are with our branch members that could not make the branch meeting.

OTHER.

Once again, Sue Sauter kindly provided an excellent homemade VJ cake for our members. Although its arrival was somewhat delayed owing to the September tube strike, it was very warmly received and greatly appreciated by all present.

The Chairman then asked everyone to stand and charge their glasses.
