Ladies and Gentlemen, Not much going on in August, so I thought I’d put together a few items that may be of interest to you.

The 3rd September was the 83rd anniversary of the UK entry into the second World War; September 3rd is also Merchant Navy Day - see article.

September 15th will be the 80th anniversary of the fateful Raid of Tobruk, about which Mike Pinchin has very kindly provided an article.

The branch was approached by the family of a former Royal Marine to participate in his 90th birthday, we did and what happened is recorded attached.
